Open Opportunity is a leading partnership committed to meeting the challenges and realising the opportunities associated with the 14-19 reforms within England. These reforms are far reaching and provide a level of challenge that any single institution would find almost impossible to tackle alone.
The epi [Executive Planning and Implementation] team meets monthly to discuss and implement our 14-19 strategy. Consisting of senior representatives from across OpenOpportunity it is the 'Working Group' which reports to the h&p [Heads and Principals] group. The meeting schedule for these two groups is shown to the right.
We have been working closely with Connexions Norfolk on a number of projects and initiatives. We plan to co-organise an for the 5th December 2007 - more details later.
We have also held several conferences to focus on IAG.
OpenOpportunity/Connexions Collaborative Conference #1 [July 2006]
OpenOpportunity/Connexions
Collaborative Conference #2 [Jan 2007]
We were instrumental in the formulation of the 2006 LSN Norfolk 14-19 Symposium alongside colleagues from the Western Learning & Enterprise Collaborative, Norfolk Children's Services and Norfolk LSC. This event brought 40 key people from across Norfolk together to generate a 14-19 blueprint.
We know that each of our partners is different and we celebrate this diversity. To ensure have a common accord we actively nurture the relationships between our management teams. The 1st 14-19 Executive Conference took place on the 21/3/2006, at the UEA Sports Park. Bringing together senior colleagues from across the expanded partnership it provided us with the opportunity to set out our strategy for the near future.
