From September 2008 OpenOpportunity will be offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) through Notre Dame High School. The IB parent website is a good place to get general information though more information will appear here between now and September.
All applicants are asked to have a back up application within another [OpenOpportunity] sixth form centre as places are strictly limited to 40.
This challenging two-year curriculum leads to a qualification that is widely recognised by the world’s leading universities. The entry requirement is an average GCSE point score of over 40 in 8 individual Level 2 subjects [see table below showing how GCSE grades relate to points]. This must include A*-C grades in English, Mathematics and Science.
